Volunteer Spotlight: Eloa Verona

IMG_6128Eloa Franca Verona of Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute

This post was originally a submission for the Be the Change Awards. Post written by James Olson.

Eloa has demonstrated her dedication and initiative to The Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute again and again.  She  went above and beyond when she applied for a grant through her college to diversify the protagonists of the books in MOI’s library.  She wanted her students to have access to books representative of their lives and backgrounds.  Not only did Eloa receive this grant but she is also codifying a system and inventory for our library so that students can borrow these books and take them home.  All of this, she decided to do of her own accord! We thank her for all her dedication.
