Give to the Max Day 2010

“The Great Minnesota GIVE Together”

GiveMN’s second annual Give to the Max Day is upon us!  This state-wide day of charitable giving will be on Tuesday, November 16th this year.  GiveMN.org is the first giving website for nonprofits in Minnesota of its kind, and launched Give to the Max Day last year.  Give to the Max Day 2009 was an overwhelming success and broke the previous record for place-based fundraising.  Over $14 million was raised  for Minnesota nonprofits in a 24-hour period.

Hoping to attract more donors and raise more money this year, GiveMN has added some exciting incentives to donate on November 16th…

The top four nonprofits (two in the Twin Cities and two in Greater Minnesota) that attract the most individual donors will receive a grant prize of $20,000 for first place and $10,000 for second place!

Also, throughout the day, a “Golden Ticket” will be awarded to an individual donor at random every hour.  This will add an extra $1,000 to that individual’s donation to the nonprofit of their choice!

With Minnesota being home to more than 3,000 incredible nonprofits, choosing who to give to can be a difficult decision.

Here is Executive Director of HandsOn Twin Cities, Kristin Schurrer with information on who we are, what we do, and what your support means to us.

So come on!  Let’s “Give to the max” and break another record this year!
